Steam Cog Railway, art & culture
At an altitude of 1400m a pre-Christian water sanctuary was discovered in the Rofan mountain range near the Guffert mountain. The cave bears Etruscan inscriptions and has been dazzling its visitors ever since it was found by two hikers in 1957.
Take the Steam Cog Railway to Maurach and enjoy a leisurely hike to the Rofan Cable Car.
